Malaysia - Outreach Short Trip

Praise the Lord! as part of the PKKS program, ECCS Team, Pastor Yip, Rodney, Helen and Anne spent time in Malaysia visiting local institutions and offering caring fellowship, English teaching and PC teaching etc. to the residences. Note the happy and smiling faces when God via the Team is among them.
A few words from Ps. Yip:
PKKS is located in the southern state of West Malaysia. Everyday it has to feed hundreds of mouths. These people are the rejects of society. Delinquent kids, single mums with no time for their kids, drug addicts, the old, infirmed and handicapped. The mentally handicapped are rejected by their families and has been left to PKKS to care for them. The Malaysian government is short of funds to take care of these people and so voluntary organisations like PKKS have stepped in to share God’s love and compassion to help those who cannot help themselves. The inmates are mostly of Chinese background with some Indians as well. Mandarin and English, as well as Bahasa are the main languages spoken.
 
ECCS English for the last three years has raised thousands of dollars to help out. In addition, we organise English conversation classes, design classes, Bible classes, cooking demonstrations, PC help and repair classes as well as accounting/administrative help for PKKS.
